Bharti, Aircel to launch Apple's iPhone 4 in India (Reuters)

BANGALORE (Reuters) – Bharti Airtel Ltd, India's top ambulatory sound carrier, and its smaller competition Aircel separately said on Monday they would start Apple's iPhone 4 in India in the reaching months.

Both companies declined to give specific dates for the planned launch.

Bharti and Vodafone Essar already sell early models of the iPhone in India.

With nearly 800 meg ambulatory subscribers, India is the world's second-biggest market for ambulatory sound services and is also the fastest-growing. But smartphones are estimated to account for just over 5 proportionality of the ambulatory phone sales.

Indian carriers hit fresh started actuation discover high-speed third-generation (3G) ambulatory networks, which is due to boost income of smartphones.

Bharti had 159 meg ambulatory subscribers as of end-February, while Aircel had 53.5 million.
