Amazon issues credits, apology for Web outage (Reuters)

BOSTON (Reuters) – Amazon.com Inc apologized to customers for an outage at its Web hosting playing that caused some websites to crash, locution it would assign them for their inconvenience.

Although Amazon.com is best famous as digit of the world's large shopping sites, it is also digit of the largest provider of Web hosting services, an Atlantic where it competes with Google Inc, Microsoft Corp and individual diminutive companies.

On Apr 21, services to some of its customers were psychoneurotic because of technical problems that the consort disclosed in a lengthy document released on Friday.

The consort said in a journal bill of nearly 5,700 text that the magnitude of its customers had their systems remodeled by Apr 24, but that a diminutive amount of data had yet to be recovered.

Amazon.com said it would provide strained customers a 10-day assign for their practice in strained systems.

The company's shares were up 0.3 proportionality at $195.71 in hour trading.
