Sony's Ohga, credited with developing CD, dies (AP)

TOKYO – Sony says its past president and chairman Norio Ohga, credited with nonindustrial the auto disc, has died. He was 81.

Sony Corp. Chairman Howard Stringer said Ohga helped redefine the Asian manufacturer not exclusive as an electronic element consort but helped it also modify into code or entertainment.

Ohga died Sat in Yeddo of binary organ failure. He was president of the consort from 1982 to 1995.
