House panel votes to repeal new FCC Internet rules (AP)
WASHINGTON – A Republican-controlled Congressional panel has voted to cancellation new Federal Communications Commission rules that prohibit sound and telegram companies from meddling with cyberspace traffic on their band networks.
The House Commerce Subcommittee on Communications and Technology voted 15-to-8 weekday to contradict the FCC's new "network neutrality" regulations. The FCC's three Democrats voted to take the regulations late terminal year over the contestant of the agency's digit Republicans.
The rules are intended to preclude sound and telegram companies from using their curb over band connections to dictate where their subscribers go and what they do online. They prohibit band providers from pro or discriminating against cyberspace content and services, including online occupation services same Skype and Web recording services same Netflix that could compete with their set sound and telegram operations.
