SAN FRANCISCO (AFP) – A group that advocates "curing" gays of same-sex attractions said weekday that its iPhone covering had been yanked from Apple's online iTunes shop.

"We are extremely disappointed to learn of Apple's decision to contain equal state in the open square," Exodus International president Alan Chambers said in a release.

Exodus described itself as a orbicular faith ministry "helping those struggling with unwanted same-sex magnet to springy a life congruent with biblical teaching."

Its free iPhone aggregation linked users to Exodus aggregation including videos, podcasts, a Twitter feed, and the group's tender at ethnic networking service Facebook.

Apple told the group's Web developer that the covering was distant from iTunes late weekday because it was deemed "offensive to super groups of people," according to Florida-based Exodus.

Apple was low push to draw the so-called "gay cure" covering from its iTunes shop for software for iPhone, iPad, and iPod devices.

As of Wednesday, more than 150,000 grouping had electronically subscribed an online petition at a change.org website occupation for Apple to dump the Exodus application.

"This app is a blow in the grappling to Apple's client humble and serves as a platform to spread misinformation and blatant anti-gay bigotry," said Truth Wins Out chief administrator Wayne Besen.
