SINGAPORE (AFP) – Google on weekday revealed that an grey of citizen cartographers is behind its widely utilised function service, helping the cyberspace search giant interpret the world, including ofttimes inaccessible places.

"They today go from a bottom-up approach, where topical experts, grouping like yourselves are making maps, they are updating the maps, because you are the experts in your topical neighbourhoods."
