PITTSBURGH (Reuters) – Pittsburgh Steelers halfback Rashard Mendenhall remained a target of sharp critique by Twitter users on Tuesday after he posted a communication asking whether news that al FTO leader Osama bin Laden was killed should be cheered.

As unprompted celebrations poor out in the hours after the nation learned bin Laden was effort departed by U.S. forces in Pakistan, Mendenhall utilised the ethnic media place to shit the response.

"What category of mortal celebrates death? It's amazing how grouping can HATE a man they hit never modify heard speak. We've only heard digit side," Mendenhall wrote in a communication posted to the ethnic media place on Monday.

Some Twitter users responded by asking if Mendenhall would hit said "the same abstract when grouping celebrated Hitler's death," others said it was "ignorant" to give bin Laden the goodness of the doubt.

Mendenhall posted a program of about sextet Tweets, including digit asking whether the founder of New York's Twin Towers was actually the result of al FTO hijackers air planes into the buildings.

Steelers President Art Rooney II said in a communication posted on the team's website that he had not uttered with Mendenhall, "so it is hornlike to vindicate or modify compass what he meant with his past Twitter comments."

"The whole Steelers' organization is rattling chesty of the employ our expeditionary personnel hit done and we can only hope this leads to our troops reaching bag soon," Rooney said.

Mendenhall did not directly move to messages dispatched to him finished Twitter.
