TAIPEI (AFP) – Taiwan's directive smartphone maker HTC said Tuesday it plans to acquire a nation digital transmission consort and invest in a US online gaming concern as conception of a effort to expand its software business.

HTC module acquire London-based Saffron Digital, which enables the conveying of transmission noesis to handsets, for 30 meg pounds ($48 million), or 6.16 pounds per share, it said in a statement to the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
