Report: Hackers penetrated Nasdaq computer network (AP)

NEW YORK – The computer meshwork that runs the Nasdaq Stock Market has been penetrated by hackers multiple times during the instance year, according to a production report.
The Wall Street Journal reported on its website late weekday that federal investigators are trying to refer the perpetrators and their motive.
People familiar with the enquiry feature the exchange's trading platform, the grouping which executes trades, was not compromised, according to the report.
A mortal involved in the Nasdaq enquiry told the production that so far the perpetrators "appear to hit meet been looking around."
Nasdaq officials declined to comment.
Possible motives include financial gain, thieving of change secrets or a national section threat designed to damage the exchange, the production said.
