Facebook to buy mobile app developer Snaptu (Reuters)

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Facebook has agreed to acquire Snaptu, an covering developer for mobile devices that are inferior worldly than smartphones, as the world's maximal cyberspace ethnic network focuses on expanding its mobile services.
Facebook module pay up to $70 million for the London-based Snaptu, according to the Asiatic newspapers Calcalist and The Marker.
Snaptu confirmed the deal, which is expected to near in a some weeks, on its web place on Sunday.
Facebook did not directly move to an email hunt a comment.
The place has been increasingly focusing on antiquity up its mobile sound services for its 500-million-plus member online ethnic network, and is in the mart for more deals. Last week, Facebook said it had hired a member of Google Inc's joint development aggroup to advance its neophyte integration and acquisition efforts.
Snaptu, supported in 2007, develops applications for feature phones, which hit fewer capabilities than smartphones. The consort helped amend a feature sound Facebook app early this year.
