Facebook denies to launch branded phones with HTC (Reuters)

LONDON (Reuters) – Facebook has no plans to start Facebook-branded phones with Asiatic smartphone concern HTC, it said on Thursday, mass reports that it designed to start an authorised tie-up incoming month.

"This is rattling meet another warning of a concern who has condemned our open APIs (application programing interfaces) and desegrated them into their figure in an engrossing way," said Dan Rose, head of playing development at Facebook.

London playing newspaper City A.M. had reportable that HTC would show two new Facebook-branded ambulatory phones at incoming month's Mobile World legislature in Barcelona, in a news that was widely picked up in other media.

"The rumors around there being something more to this HTC figure are overblown," Rose told journalists at a consort circumstance in London. Asked whether the figure would be Facebook-branded, he answered: "No."

Mobile is an increasingly essential driver of traffic to Facebook, which says 250 million users per period access the social network on ambulatory devices.

HTC was the concern of the prototypal Google-branded phone, the Nexus One.
