Apple removes banned Nazi anthem from German iTunes (Reuters)

BERLIN (Reuters) – Apple distant a notorious anthem of the fascist Party from the Teutonic edition of its iTunes online penalization accumulation on Wednesday, a Teutonic spokesman for the U.S. concern told Reuters.

Named after a young party reformist killed in 1930, the walking song "Horst Wessel Lied," was the unofficial anthem of the Nazis until it was illegal in Germany at the modify of World War Two.

The Apple spokesman said it had been taken soured iTunes but did not feature if another Nazi-era songs had also been removed.

The availability of fascist anthems on iTunes and merchandiser Amazon's Teutonic website was prototypal reportable by the Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung regular on Wednesday.

Apple's iTunes accumulation also oversubscribed songs and albums of neo-Nazi bands illegal by the government, the newspaper reported.
